Invisalign
Patients in Atlanta, Marietta, and the surrounding areas of Georgia who are interested in an alternative to traditional braces can review our Invisalign® FAQ to learn more about the treatment.
What Do Invisalign® Aligners Look Like?
Invisalign® is a series of clear aligners that fit over your teeth. The aligners are practically invisible.
Will People Be Able to See the Aligners?
If someone stands close to you while you are talking or smiling, they may notice the thin aligners over your teeth. Most people, though, cannot see the aligners.
How Much Does Invisalign® Cost?
The cost of Invisalign® is comparable to braces, and many insurance companies pay for a portion. For your out-of-pocket costs, you can learn about our financing options through CareCredit®.
How Do I Take Care of My Teeth with Invisalign®?
The aligners are removable. When you are ready to brush and floss, simply remove the aligners. We recommend that you use the time to also clean the aligners with a gentle toothpaste. This eliminates bacteria and food particles from the aligners.
How Often Do I See Dr. Marc S. Wright with Invisalign® vs. Braces?
Patients who have braces typically come in for follow-up appointments every four weeks. With Invisalign®, you change out the aligners every two weeks and meet with Dr. Marc S. Wright about every four to six weeks.
Why is Invisalign® Preferred Over Braces?
Invisalign® offers our patients many benefits, such as:
- No wires or brackets for food to get caught
- Removable for brushing and flossing
- No food restrictions
- More comfortable to wear
- Significantly less obvious than braces
Do Invisalign® Aligners Hurt?
When you put in a new aligner, you may experience some minor discomfort as the aligners place tension on your teeth. This can be alleviated with over-the-counter pain medication and should only last a few days.
Is Invisalign® Right for Everyone?
Invisalign® is considered an option for most patients, but you may not be a good candidate if you have:
- Issues with bite in the back teeth
- Dental bridges
- Teeth that need to be repositioned in a vertical orientation
- Difficulty wearing the aligners at least 22 hours each day
- Teeth that need to be rotated
